Our Juniors are our future, which is why Commerce has a strong focus on our Juniors and their development both within the club and the sport as a whole.
Junior Development / Come and Try program
In 2016 Commerce PINTs started running a free Junior Development/come and try program prior to the sesaon commencing. This program was initially developed to target new comers to the sport, predominantly in the younger demographic of juniors (5-10 year olds), and to introduce both parents and kids to hockey without the pressure of committing to a whole season.
As we are coming into our fourth year of running the program we now look forward to providing a program that not only focuses on new comers but also has a strong emphasis on the needs of our emerging athletes and state players. This year will also include specific goal keeper development with our experienced goal keeper coach Tony Miller.
Under the guidance of our experienced head coaches the program provides specific and targeted high level coaching to really challenge, improve and inspire our existing juniors.
